Working independently, not alone.
New Work City is a community coworking space in NYC where the brightest independent minds can come together. Rather than wandering into a coffee shop, NWC.CO is where people go to find and join a working community that's driven by daily, spontaneous networking.
Q&A with Tony
nwc.coWhat would you say is the most important thing you've learned in the last year?
You can't take good care of others if you're not first taking good care of yourself.
Who or what do you admire that doesn't get enough attention?
Amy Hoy. She is maybe the smartest person I've ever met.
What's a movie, TV show or song/band that inspires you?
Lately, I've turned to all of those things for entertainment purposes. When I want to be inspired, I'll watch a TED talk or read a book.
If you could have dinner with one creative person, historical or current, who would it be?
Ben Franklin. He had a great combination of wit, wisdom, and creativity. I bet one good conversation with him would change things quite a bit. Plus I'd love to hear what he thinks about current events.
Tell us something surprising about you.
When I was a teenager, I won a sandsculpting championship.
What's the best part of your job?
The fact that I get to spend time with some of the most brilliant, creative people I've ever encountered anywhere. Sometimes I marvel at the fact that some of these people are actually willing to talk to me.
